When Krystin and Jon approached me about their wedding vision, it was unlike anything a couple had come to me with before, and I was so up for the challenge! They wanted a wedding in the woods with an underlying music fest theme that felt fun and adventurous, just like them. And one of the most important elements was to have their ceremony the morning of their wedding, hours away at a spot on the Appalachian trail that held special meaning. Organizing an event that occurred in two states on the same day was not easy, but it was so worth it.
Another super important element for them was to have guests stay over in glamping tents. Having these tents completely set the tone for the event and added that element of adventure. With a combination of valet service, golf carts, and my amazing team, we easily checked guests into their tents as they arrived, delivered their bags for them, and sent them on to enjoy cocktail hour.
We all know that an event is all about the food, so we were thrilled to secure The Swell Party and their epic Fire Roasted catering. Everything was cooked live on site, as the guests mingled during cocktail hour. The rotisserie bike was an especially big hit!
We brought in a tap truck as a nod to Jon’s love for beer in addition to the full bar. Guests were also encouraged to select a glass as they entered, and use that for the evening.
Guests enjoyed an evening of a variety of musical talents, and dancing under the clear top tent. All of the details had a natural tone, and complimented the beautiful property. It was an incredible evening, and I just loved how much the event reflected Krystin and Jon. It always brings me so much joy to create an event that is custom to the couple. And in my opinion, the sky is the limit!
